Nduthi Logo & Identity Design

This particularly hot afternoon found me in Eastleigh, seated a table across my new clients. Almost all of them were of Somali origin but luckier than most of their fellow countrymen to have left Somalia and pursued greener pastures, education and careers out there. One was an engineer. His counterpart had attained his education while working as an Uber driver back in the States. As we talked about the project at hand, we drifted and started a conversation about the Nairobi traffic. And that’s how ‘nduthi’ came about. In the most basic terms, it was like an Uber but for hailing bike services. I went for a fun approachable logo that wasn’t uber-serious. I wanted it to look and feel genuinely Kenyan.
